There were many fivers in the 36 foot range, as well as a few 40 foot Class A coaches. Generally the reservations site will tell you that a particular site is better suited to tent or popup campers, and you should heed that warning! The sites however, were generally very deep and well spaced apart. Don't let this deter you from staying here! I wasn't sure what to expect, but after being there, yes the road is narrow as CG roads go, and several of the sites had awkward angles of entry. in length being financially responsible for damages due to the narrow nature of the campground road. The reservations site has a stern warning about camping vehicles over 26 ft. The lake allows non-motorized boats and has a launching ramp if needed. The CG is adjacent to a beautiful 100 acre lake that has several fishing piers, a swimming beach and a 3.6 mile trail around the lake for hiking/biking. Bath houses were super clean and had hot showers. Community water spigots though, and no sewer at the sites, so be advised. It is a very nice, heavily wooded campground, with 50/30/20 amp service at each site. I would highly recommend Indian Boundary CG. before descending into Robbinsville, with incredible views along every mile of the road. You leave Tellico Plains at around 900 ft. The Cherohala is a beautiful 40 mile mountaintop road completed in 1996 that connects Tellico Plains, TN to Robbinsville, NC. The recreation area contains a swim beach, boat ramp, fishing pier, picnic area and volleyball court.We enjoyed a wonderful 5 days of camping at Indian Boundary Campground, a US Forest Service facility approximately 16 miles east of Tellico Plains, TN, off the Cherohala Skyway. The campground is two miles off the Cherohala Skyway, a 43-mile National Scenic Byway that stretches from Tellico Plains, Tennessee, to Robbinsville, North Carolina. It lies in the heart of the Southern Appalachians and is home to more than 20,000 species of plants and animals, as well as many rivers, creeks and lakes. The 650,000-acre swath of land is Tennessee's only national forest. Dogs are allowed on the trail as long as they're leashed. The landscape is beautiful, and the hike is easily accessible to folks of all skill levels.

Most folks utilize the moderately-trafficked lake loop for hiking, trail running, and nature trips. The Cherokee National Forest is located in eastern Tennessee and stretches from Chattanooga to Bristol along the North Carolina border. Indian Boundary Lake Trail is roughly 3 miles in its entirety. At the lake, visitors enjoy watching beaver that inhabit an adjacent pond, identifying several species of ducks and other waterfowl and trying their luck at catching bass, sunfish and catfish. We have 5 Stand up paddleboards and 8 kayaks. Indian Boundary Lake covers 96 acres at an elevation of 1,560 feet, and sits among hardwoods and pines.
